DALLAS, TX.—When Albert Harris found out he would need a kidney transplant, he never guessed that his soul mate would also be the perfect donor match.
The odds of a non-blood related person being a donor match are extremely low, so Lisa was shocked to find out she was an exact match. The news only solidified the couple's belief that their bond is much stronger than blood.
"When you say 'in sickness and in health,' that was really coming real to me," Lisa said.
"If God made me the match, then I am the one," Lisa said. "There was no reason for me to be afraid."
The couple describes their life together as a walk of faith, and says that though they may walk slower because of the kidney transplant, they will always walk together.
