The burglar didn't know it, but his plot was about to be foiled by an unexpected twosome.
A nameless thief left a Lush store in England one morning with a laptop and $1,400 worth of stolen goods. But he was stopped dead in his tracks by Lottie, a homeless woman who often sleeps outside the store, and her fluffy dog. She forced him to hand over the items, and she was miraculously able to return everything to the staff by the next day. The employees were beside themselves in joy.
"It was fantastic," manager James Atherton said. "We weren't expecting to get them back at all."
In return, the staff gave Lottie a hamper of food and Lush products. They also set up a GoFundMe page to help raise more money for her, as well as charities dedicated to helping homeless people like her.
"We were greatly moved by her selfless actions in protecting us, and want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts," trainee manager Rachel Ross said.
What an amazing way to pay it forward!
