The latest issue of Simple Grace features the newest book from Catholic author, Dave Pivonka. Here, Dave shares the unusual way he views the little troubles we face every day
"Often times I have a tendency to think of the most major, terrible storm that the Lord has brought me through," Dave says. "But today I am reminded of the little 'squalls' that are a part of our daily life and how often times we are more aware of God’s leading in the midst of the major storms and fail to recognize him in the daily showers.
"A few days ago I was traveling and due to weather in Chicago was having a hard time getting home. A one hour delay turned into two, three, six hours. I was placed on five different flights and even once had boarded the plane only to get off to eventually take another flight. People around me were frustrated, angry and generally unhappy. Through it all if could feel the Lord’s presence and his peace. Sure, I wanted to get home but in the midst of the 'storm' God was with me and provided me patience that did not allow my peace to be disturbed. God was there for me for the little things as well as the big."
