Manicurist Brandalyn Mae Porter was painting nails at an elderly residents' home when she noticed a new resident come in. When it was her turn to have her nails done, she demanded clear nail polish.

Considering the wide variety of colors they had available, Brandalyn couldn't help but ask why she would select clear of all things.
"My hands are ugly," the woman replied. "I don't want to draw attention to them."
By that point, Brandalyn couldn't keep her opinion to herself.
"Your hands tell the story of your life," Brandalyn said. "They tell the story of love, of care and adventure. These hands have touched and held things that most people can only wish to one day."
