One little girl proved that no matter how big your dreams are, you should never give up on them.
Due to a genetic disorder, Ellie's legs had to be amputated up to her knees and her hands look different from other children's. She had been shuffled in and out of seven various homes, until her mom, Miranda Todd, began the process of adopting her when she was fifteen months old.
All she ever wanted was to be able to run around like the other kids, but she needed a special prosthetic that was too expensive for her to obtain. When she finally was able to settle down in a permanent home, her mother set out to make her dreams come true.
The pair managed to receive a generous donation from Hanger Clinic in Texas who agreed to provide half the cost of Ellie's prosthetics. Then along with additional fundraising, Miranda was finally able to acquire the new legs her daughter rightfully deserved.
