Most people who adopt dogs are after puppies or younger dogs. After all, they're easier to look after. But one man is up for the challenge of looking after senior dogs, and the reason why is nothing short of heartwarming.
The way Steve Greig sees it, many older animals up for adoption never get the chance to have their forever home. And he wants to make sure they don't miss out on that chance. He says every animal deserves a chance to find this kind of happiness. So he's dedicated his life to making it happen.
Greig is happy with the arrangement, too.
"You kind of know what you want out of life once you hit a certain age," he said. "These dogs know who they are, and it’s easy to develop a relationship with a person or pet who knows who they are."
