Mom Stephanie Dishongh was given bad news after her son was diagnosed with autism at age 2. The medical professionals seemed to think Carter would have a difficult life ahead of him.
But they were all proven wrong.

In a viral post on Love What Matters, Stephanie shared that Carter is not only 8 years old today and thriving, but he also just achieved something that not many kids out there in general do at that age. She just received the amazing news in a letter from her son's school.
He just got accepted to the gifted education program.

Of Carter's achievement, Stephanie wrote, "I want everyone to know no matter what your diagnosis is God is always in control. My child is proof of that."
