Make precious autumn memories with the little darlings in your life as you craft up this easy yet adorable pumpkin “prayer patch.” Whether it’s showcased in the center of your dinner table or on your child’s desk, the display serves as a sweet reminder to say a daily prayer of thanks to the Lord for all His wonderful blessings!
Step 1: Cut three leaf shapes out of green paper. Label each leaf to say “friends,” “family” and “Jesus.” Punch a hole in one end of each leaf. Cut 30 strips of orange construction paper measuring 9" x 1". Separate strips into 3 stacks of 10.
Step 2: Write the names of family members on the strips in the first stack. Write the names of friends on the strips in the second stack. Write sweet blessings from Jesus on the strips in the third stack. Punch holes at both ends of each stack.
Step 3: Written sides facedown, thread a pipe cleaner through the two holes of one stack; twist one end of the pipe cleaner into a curly stem. Pull the strips up so they make a C shape positioned just under the stem, then knot the other end of the pipe cleaner to secure the shape. Fan out the paper strips to form a round pumpkin and add the leaf label to the stem. Repeat for the other two pumpkins. Make a “prayer patch” sign from leftover paper.
