Grammy-winning singer Chris Tomlin tells Simple Grace about his personal prayer life and how he maintains an intimate relationship with God while managing his busy life. Here, he discusses his morning walks with God that allow him to listen more closely to the Lord's voice:
“I’d like to say that I’m regimented in my prayer life, but it’s hard to hit the floor praying with a screaming 2-year-old waking you up in the morning,” laughs Chris. “So the best way for me to pray is usually to head outside and take a walk by myself. It clears my mind and gets the engine running. When I walk and pray, it re-centers my spirit and gives me the space I need to listen to God’s voice inside of me. I need that, not only for myself but also to be able to lead my family in prayer.”
