Pianist Jason Lyle Black's beloved grandparents have been married for more than 60 years. When it was time to celebrate the lovebirds, who are both in their 80s, Black had a brilliant idea for how to mark the occasion in an unforgettable way.
See, Black's grandparents have always enjoyed playing piano duets together ever since they were married in 1955. And another favorite they share? The tearjerker of a Disney movie, Up, which highlights the sweet, undying love of an elderly couple, Carl and Ellie.
Black had the genius idea of filming a video of his grandparents playing the Up theme song at their antique Steinway piano, while he threw in little touches from the movie: the "Adventure Book," Carl's tennis-ball cane, and even the "Wilderness Explorer" uniform of little Russell, another star of Up, which Black dons himself at the end. Check it out, but be forewarned: The bar for grandparent anniversary celebrations just got raised sky-high (pun intended, Up fans!).
