Cynthia Belmer (right) was in the mood to do a random good deed. And it turned out to be an amazing thing that she had this feeling.
At the gas station near her coffee shop, she decided to pay for someone's gas. She then saw a woman pull in to the station and made her intentions known.
"I know I sound so weird, but can I buy your gas?" Belmer asked.
"What? Why?" the woman asked.
"I just want to be kind," Belmer said. "I’m dedicating this month to kindness."
What happened next Belmer will never forget. The woman brought her hands into prayer and began thanking God. Then, she was brought to tears.
"I just called the bank and I only had $10 in my account," the woman said. "I have been helping my mother out because she’s sick and it’s been so hard for me financially."
The women cried, laughed, and hugged together. Who would have known that such a simple gesture would change everything for both these women?
Looks like this random act of kindness might not have been so random after all!
