Prayer can be a powerful thing. This viral photo of an ex-convict praying with a police officer, proves just that.
Edward "Doc" Amey says, "I have not always been a friend to the police. I've been to prison three times." But several years ago, during his last prison sentence, Amey found God.
Over the past few weeks, he says he felt an urge to pray for police officers. So when he saw Officer Salvador Chapa, one of his old arresting officers, he walked up to him, reached out for Chapa's hands and led him in prayer.
"I pray that you continue to watch over him," said Amey. "Continue to guide him and lead him in the way that you may have him go, Lord."
During this touching interaction, Kevin Woods, a friend of Chapa, took a picture with his phone.
Since then, the inspiring photo has received over 1 million views on Facebook and tens of thousands of likes and shares on the Texas City Police Department's Facebook page.

But the most remarkable part of the story is still to come.
Amey finished the prayer by telling Chapa, "I love you." A humbled Chapa said, "I love you too, brother. Thank you very much for praying for us."
