A young mom named Sarah Hadel was feeling nervous about taking her two kids to a diner for the first time. She had no idea how it was going to go, and it didn't help that her kids' juice cup fell over and spilled all over the floor almost immediately after she came in.
Now, not only was she anxious, she was also embarrassed. But then, a stranger appeared out of nowhere and had something to say.
She wanted to help.
After offering her assistance with the spill, the kind older woman asked her kids' ages and commented on how well-behaved they were. She also said how nice it was to see young mothers like her with their kids.
But that wasn't the end of her sweetness.
In a Facebook post addressing the woman, Hadel wrote, "When the waitress took our order she told me you had paid for them to have a scoop of ice-cream. I had to wipe my tears away because I read stories all the time about people like you and today I think you were sent to me."
In the midst of all this, Hadel couldn't help but see something that the woman had with her that made the act of kindness tug on her heartstrings even harder.
She wrote, "I noticed the oxygen tank you were carrying and I wish that people with giving hearts and beautiful souls like yours didn't have to feel the pain you must feel. So thank you for making me appreciate my health even more today."
What a beautiful moment!
