Retired teacher Lorly Schik was watching her local television station at home when suddenly the newscaster began to seem familiar to her. Very familiar.
When she realized who it was, she could hardly believe it.
Schik, who used to teach kindergarten, recognized that the anchor was one of her students 30 years ago, Cory Hepola. Though she retired the year after and never saw Cory for three decades, she never forgot him. So of course, she was filled with pride at the sight of him on TV.
She said, "I can still picture him as a small dark-haired child in his K-desk!"
She wanted to get in contact with him, but only had his parents' address. So she sent a sweet letter to them.
Schik wrote, "Greet Cory. Tell him his K-teacher is now 90 years old, enjoys seeing his newscast and wishes him (and you, too) the very best."
Of course, when Cory himself got word that his beloved teacher was one of his biggest fans, he couldn't wait to meet up with her again and make up for lost time.
Watch what happens during their emotional reunion in the sweet video below.
