Spread the joy of a thankful spirit and enjoy together time with the little ones in your life with this easy craft. It’s a fun way to help them discover all there is to be grateful for and lovingly prepare their hearts for the holiday season
- Butcher paper
- Scrapbook paper (yellow, orange, red)
- Poster putty
- Black marker
Step 1: Start by tracing a large tree shape on a roll of butcher paper using a pencil. Cut out tree shape and set aside.
Step 2: Trace hands onto scrapbook paper using a pencil, then cut out. Next, jot down things to be grateful for (like Sunday school, church, sunshine and family) onto each “leaf” with a marker.
Step 3: Apply bits of poster putty behind the tree and press onto door. Then apply putty behind each leaf and press onto the tree branches, as shown. Finish by writing a verse about thankfulness like (1 Thessalonians 5:18, shown) onto the base of the trunk with a marker.
