Being a sick child in the hospital is tough, there's no doubt about it. And the hospital gowns the kids have to wear often don't make the difficult time much easier. Though it's important for their safety, the gowns are often boring and unflattering.
That is--until one group of fashion designers decided to change that.
The designers partnered up with a nonprofit called Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada to recreate hospital gowns with individual beautiful designs that kids could be excited about, unlike the typical gowns.
And it looks like the new gowns are making a huge difference for kids who felt like their identity was stripped from them.

“When I first saw the gowns I saw empowerment in teenagers in a place where they don’t have any,” said one happy kid.
