The latest issue of Simple Grace includes Street God, a new memoir from Dimas Salaberrios. Here, he shares some of his personal prayer habits
"During prayer, I sometimes lay face down on the floor to humble myself before Jesus. Other times, I pace back and forth to remain alert," Dimas says. "When I pray I always approach God with gratitude. I try my best to remember that my life with all of its twists and turns is a gift from God. After I run out of all my appreciations, I seek His forgiveness daily. Even if I am unaware I am sure there are moments every day when I wasn't as kind, loving or faithful as I should have been. I may petition Him for some things, but I have learned that God usually gives me my heart’s desires when I do the above prayers well."
