“Throughout the day, whenever I feel worry, anxiety, or stress—any of those really strong emotions that lean in a negative direction—I really try to remember to see those as prayer triggers,” Lysa explains. “It’s not a long prayer. When I get angry, I think of it as a trigger, and I’ll say, ‘Lord I need You, this person frustrated me so I’m asking You right now to help me redirect my thoughts. Will You help me to have a better attitude?’ I try to see a lot of those difficult emotions as prayer triggers. Acknowledging God’s presence and power in those moments really helps me a lot.”
