It's a Thanksgiving miracle!
In early November 2015, Carissa and Matt Hatfield were sure that their newborn baby would soon die. From the moment Paisley was born, her left eyelid would not close completely, and their was a worrying droop in her smile. When the scared parents got their daughter's face scanned, the doctors delivered the heart-wrenching news that their daughter had a large mass at the base of her brain. They even scheduled a biopsy to investigate what they believed to be a serious tumor.
In the meantime, the Hatfields turned to prayer. And they had people across the nation praying alongside them. When they went in for the biopsy, bracing themselves for the worst results, they received extraordinary news.
“As soon as [the doctor] came in, he sat down, he was just shaking his head,” Carissa said. “He said, ‘Your prayers must have worked, because when I went in to get that biopsy,’ he said, ‘nothing was there.'”
Amazingly, the hospital asserts that there was not an error in the original scans. Matt chalked it up to a "true miracle." And they said the experience has given a whole new meaning to the "thanks" in Thanksgiving. We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
