The soft aromatic roses and fresh greenery delight the senses while the sweet heart-shaped charm displays Scripture that reminds everyone who sees it how much God truly loves us
- Medium-gauge floral wire
- Handfuls of fresh greenery
- Two-dozen red spray roses
- Thin red ribbon
- Red gingham ribbon
- Heart pendant with hook
- Red craft paint
- White paint pen
Step 1: For a 12"-long wreath, start by snipping a length of medium-gauge floral wire (from the craft store) to about 25 inches. Bend the wire into a heart shape, then twist the ends together at the top of the heart.
Step 2: Cut handfuls of greenery (like hare’s ear or lady’s mantle) to cover the wire. Affix the cut greenery to the wire form using extra wire snippets until the heart is covered.
Step 3: Cut 24 roses to 2 inches. Affix each bloom to the wreath form using extra wire snippets. Then add two coats of red craft paint to a 4" hanging heart pendant; let dry. Jot a verse (like 1 John 4:8) onto the heart using a paint pen. Thread a red ribbon through the pendant and tie around the top of the wreath. Loop gingham ribbon around the top of the wreath and tie to a chair back or any hook.
