A homeless veteran was only asking for pocket change. But he ended up getting a much bigger change in his life, thanks to a kind stranger showing him God's love.
Max Zahir was filling up his car with gas when the vet approached him for money. Instead of handing over coins, Max took the vet for a ride in his car to go to a fast food restaurant to get him a meal. But his good deed didn't stop there.
Feeling inspired to do more for the man, Max told the vet to meet him every day at 4 p.m., and he would bring him food. Since their first encounter, he has given him a job at one of his restaurants and found him a place to live. He even set up a GoFundMe campaign to help other homeless veterans. So far, it has raised $17,700.
Now that's what we call a gift that keeps on giving!
