See your little ones’ hearts soar as they watch butterflies alight on this easy-to-make feeder. It’s a beautiful reminder that God’s love is all around us!
Total time: 20 minutes
- Hole punch
- 12" plastic plant saucer
- Craft-store pony beads
Step 1: Start by using a hole punch to create four evenly spaced holes in the rim of the plastic saucer.
Step 2: Cut four 24"-long pieces of yarn. Loop a piece of yarn through one of the holes and knot it to secure. Repeat with the other three pieces.
Step 3: String pony beads onto each piece of yarn until covered, leaving 2 inches at the top. Knot the loose ends of the yarn together and hang from a tree branch.
Step 4: To finish, slice strawberries and bananas and lay them atop the saucer. Optional: Mix 3 tsp. of sugar into 1 cup of water. Then soak a small sponge in the solution and add it to the saucer to attract more butterflies.
