At first glance, you might think you're looking at a sad or lonely little boy, one who is too shy to even look up while dining at a diner with his mom. But in fact, you're seeing something quite powerful.
It started when mom Kelly Garza and her 6-year-old-son, Joshua, had breakfast at a Bob Evans restaurant in St. Petersburg, FL. On the way out, young Joshua spotted a table of police officers eating together, and to his mom's shock, he bravely approached the table.
After asking if he could pray with the officers, he sat down at the table. Joshua and the three officers then grabbed hands and bowed their heads in a quiet moment, while emotional mom Kelly reached for her camera.
"My sweet boy prayed over these officers, for safety and thanked them for their service," Kelly later wrote in a Facebook post that has since gone viral.
Many people commented on the post, praising Garza and her son, Joshua.
The St. Petersburg Police Department also posted about the event on Facebook, writing, "Officer Williams, Officer Blackshear and Officer Mitchell were honored to pray with this young man this morning."
What a sweet boy, and a beautiful moment we can ALL appreciate. Thanks for sharing, mom!
