When a rock Maggie Michael was standing on toppled and sent her plummeting down a mountain, she feared it was the end, but then God sent a symbol of hope that gave her the strength to survive
21-year-old biology student Maggie Michael was in the Colorado Mountains studying a rare plant, when she lost her footing and tumbled 30 feet down a cliff.

When she hit a ledge and fell another 70 feet, all she could think to do was grab her cross necklace and pray, “Jesus be with me.”
As she fell, she opened her eyes to see two bald eagles soaring overhead. In that moment she knew God would take care of her. She reached out her hands, managed to grab some plants and stopped her fall.

“If I didn’t land exactly where I did,” Michael said, “I would’ve gone over the next cliff.”
She was found by rescuers later that day, and despite her injuries, kept a smile on her face and expressed gratefulness to the team.
“They were just so kind, and I won’t ever forget them.”
Another thing she’ll never forget? How God was with her to catch her when she fell.
