Whether you’re using them to brighten up your home or giving them as loving Easter gifts, these easy-to-make eggshell nosegays serve as a wonderful reminder of how we are all renewed by the sacrifice Jesus made for us
- Craft-store floral foam
- A handful of seasonal flowers
- A handful of floral filler
- Pink paint pen
- Poster putty
Step 1: To create each egg bouquet, start by using the edge of a teaspoon to crack and remove the top quarter of the egg’s shell. Then empty out the yolk and rinse the shell well.
Step 2: Cut a small piece of floral foam to fit inside the shell. Soak the foam in water and place it in the bottom of the shell. Snip a trio of seasonal blooms and a small handful of floral filler (like baby’s breath) to about 3 or 4 inches. Carefully insert stems into the floral foam.
Step 3: Pick up a bright-pink paint pen (from the craft store)and use it to write a verse about Easter, like Matthew 28:6, on the front of the shell. Let dry. To finish, gently press a piece of poster putty onto the base of the egg bouquet, then press it onto a tabletop to display.
