In the new issue of Simple Grace, Boston Marathon bombing survivor, Rebekah Gregory, opens up about the most difficult times in her life and how God helped her through it all:
When Rebekah was rushed to the hospital after the bombing, she was only moments from death and was placed into a medically induced coma for a week. Through it all, her mom—the woman who taught her of Christ’s love—was at her bedside. Rebekah’s first words to her after waking up were scrawled with a pencil in shaky letters that declared, God isn’t finished with me yet. There are angels all around us. “I couldn’t see the angels,” Rebekah says, “but I had a deep sense of God’s presence.”
It was that feeling of peace and the Lord’s strength that got Rebekah through 18 surgeries and 65 other medical procedures, including the amputation of her left leg.
