The little ones in your life will love creating beautiful salt-dough cross magnets—and you’ll love displaying these sweet everyday reminders of Christ’s goodness
- 1⁄4 cup salt
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- 5 different colors of craft paint
- cookie cutter
- Parchment paper
- 1 bag of beads
- Decoupage glue
- 10 round magnets
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200°F. Mix salt, flour and water in a medium bowl until a ball of dough forms, then divide into 5 equal pieces. Next, squirt a dollop of craft paint on each dough ball and knead the paint into the dough to create 5 different-colored balls.
Step 2: Roll out each dough ball on parchment paper and use a cookie cutter to form them into crosses. Transfer the parchment paper to a baking sheet, then press colorful beads into crosses. Bake in the oven for 2 hours.
Step 3: Once cool, cover crosses with a coat of decoupage glue (like Elmer’s); let dry. Flip them over and glue 2 craft-store magnets to the back of each.
