Seeing children's jackets zipped up around outdoor poles is probably an odd sight to you. But once you hear the reason why the jackets were there, it will literally warm you up.
Mom Tara Smith-Atkins gathered her daughter and seven of her friends to distribute winter jackets around those poles for the homeless people to take in the town of Halifax, Canada. Since winter is coming, Tara wanted to help the needy, as well as teach the kids about the need for good deeds like this.
“They definitely learned the importance of it,” Tara said. “When we got back in the car after an hour on the street, they were all freezing and crying for the heater to be on and complaining because they were cold. And they were bundled up.”
An act of kindness plus a good lesson to the younger generation? Now that's heartwarming!
