Like any bride-to-be, Amanda Free was overjoyed about her wedding. But she was also upset that one important person in her life would not be able to attend—her six-year-old daughter.
Back in 2013, Amanda's beloved Azalee tragically passed away from cancer.
"[Azalee] was the most amazing soul I ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with," she said. "She was a special soul. She’d say her prayers at night and pray for all the other little kids in the world. We spent every minute together."
But a year after Azalee died, the grieving mother met someone else who would become very special in her life, her now-husband Chip.
"I know without a shadow of doubt that Azalee brought us together," she said. "He just welcomed my broken heart with open arms."
So that's why Amanda felt it was only fitting that her daughter should be included into the photos celebrating her big day with Chip. After all, she was certainly there in spirit.
