The best rule Sarah has learned about prayer? Throw out the rule book!
“I’ve learned that my prayers don’t need a certain structure or even eloquence of speech,” Sarah says. “As my relationship with God has evolved, I’ve learned that my sincerity in prayer is more important than formation.”
Instead, Sarah says the purpose of prayer is simply to encourage relationship with Jesus.
“The purpose of prayer in my life is to invite God’s divine authority and knowledge into every aspect of my life. Prayer is an opportunity for me to open my heart to His purposes—and not my plans, worries or concerns.”
