Let God's nourishment fill your heart and kitchen with this hanging kitchen garden! Simply place a serving bowl inside a colander, combine your favorite herbs inside, and string it up for a taste of grace that's just a touch away!
- Serving bowl
- 3 or 4 herb plants
- Black paper
- White chalk
- Two-sided tape
- Wide gingham ribbon
- Wood skewers
- Craft glue
Step 1: Nestle a serving bowl into the well of a colander. Combine 3 or 4 small herb plants (like mint, sage and thyme) in the bowl, creating a "dish garden."
Step 2: Make "blackboard" plant tags by writing the names of the herbs on 1" x 2" pieces of black scrapbook paper using white chalk. Jot a favorite verse, like Psalm 34:8, onto one tag with chalk. Using double-sided tape, add a gingham-ribbon border to each tag, then glue a wood skewer onto the backs and insert into the soil.
Step 3: To hang the garden, cut a long length of wide gingham ribbon. Thread the ribbon through one of the colander's handles and secure with a tight bow. Loop the ribbon around to the other side of the colander, with slack for hanging, and tie to the handle. Hang in kitchen.
